Match Rules

You should also read and understand all the General Rules.
Announcements relating to forthcoming matches are usually displayed on our Facebook page.
Please ensure you are familiar with all the match rules before taking part in any competition on our waters.
 
5.1 Only 1 rod or pole can be used at any one time.
5.2 Two keepnets must be used. 1 for *silver fish and a carp- friendly net for carp up to 10lb. Carp over 10lb to be weighed and recorded at the time of capture and returned. (* All fish other than Common Carp and Mirror Carp are classed as silver fish).
5.3 If a fish is being played at the final whistle then the angler will be allowed up to 15 minutes after the official match end time, to land that fish.
5.4 No floating baits and no fixed rigs of any kind to be used.
5.5 Pike will count when caught on standard match tackle.
5.6 Match Secretary’s decision will be final.
5.7 Matches April to September: draw 8:00 fish 9:30 to 15:30.

Exceptions: *16th July Silver Bream, fish 09:00 to 14:00. Matches October to March: draw 8:30, fish 10:00 to 15:00.
Entry into matches may be limited. Details will appear on the Club’s Facebook page.
* Further to the match rules above you are reminded to use a carp-friendly unhooking mat for large carp or unhook them in your landing net, which must not be in contact with the ground.
