IMPORTANT NOTICE – KHV disease
KHV (Koi Herpes Virus) is a serious disease that can affect all species of carp, very often with fatal consequences. Numerous outbreaks have been detected in the West Midlands and so please take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread.
STOP THE SPREAD!
Whenever you leave the water, remember to Check, Clean & Dry!
Check your gear after leaving the water for mud, aquatic animals or plant material.
Clean everything thoroughly as soon as you can, paying particular attention to nets, footwear and mats.
Dry everything for as long as possible. Some diseases can survive for two weeks in damp conditions.
ALWAYS allow unhooking mats and nets (spread out) to fully dry in natural daylight so that UV rays can help eradicate the virus if it’s present.

Fish Restocking to Margaret’s Lake, George’s Lake and The Clamp
The Clamp did not have any chub so 175 have gone in as an experiment. Georges only has a few so 275 there and Margarets has quite a few but they may get towards their life expectancy over the next few years so 125 added.
MORE FISH FOR THE CLAMP. Following a two year negotiation, and sitting on a waiting list, 800 fish were stocked into the Clamp yesterday courtesy of the E.A. Roach/rudd 150 of each, tench 100, crucians 200, skimmers 200. These were free to the Club, paid for from the rod licence money that funds the E.A. hatchery near Nottingham. These, together with the recently stocked chub that have already started to show in catches, should enhance the prospects at the Clamp for the next couple of years. Please give them a month or so to acclimatise and avoid putting them in keep nets.
NIGHT FISHING BOOKINGS AT THE LIDO
Alan Phillips will no longer be taking any bookings for night fishing. From 23rd October, these need to be made with Darren Scudamore. Tel: 07918 102084.
A reminder that any bookings need to be made with at least 24 hours’ notice but no later than 18:30. Other rules covering night fishing are in the membership tab. Please ensure you are familiar with them.
All other Club rules concerning fishing in general, or night fishing in particular, will be enforced. Anyone not complying with any of these will be asked to leave, any future night fishing bookings from them will not be taken and future membership may be called into question.
